Here are some of the things to see in July:
- 9 PM, western sky – Jupiter and Venus paired up low over the western horizon; on July 18th, they are joined by a crescent Moon
- 9:30 PM, southern sky – Saturn high in the sky over the horizon after sunset
- 11 PM, southern sky – Scorpius constellation with the bright red supergiant Antares and the globular cluster Messier 4 just to the right of the star
- 11 PM, southern sky – Sagittarius constellation with the prominent Teapot asterism and many famous Messier objects, including the Lagoon Nebula (Messier 8), Trifid Nebula (Messier 20), the Omega Nebula (Messier 17), and the bright globular cluster Messier 22
- 2 AM, eastern sky – Delta Aquariid meteor shower peaking on the night of July 28 to 29 with 10 to 15 meteors per hour, but it will be obscured by the light of the Moon this year
