Here are some of the highlights of the night sky in November:
- 6:30 PM southwestern sky – Mars above the southwestern horizon in the evening
- 2:30 AM eastern sky – Jupiter rises after midnight and stays above the horizon throughout the night
- 6 AM eastern sky – Mercury just above the horizon during the first half of November
- 9 PM southern sky – Pisces constellation, known for the Circlet of Pisces asterism, representing the head of the western fish
- 9 PM southeastern sky – Aries constellation with three prominent stars – Hamal (Alpha Arietis), Sheratan (Beta Arietis) and Mesarthim (Gamma Arietis) – forming an asterism
- 9 PM southeastern sky – Triangulum constellation with the famous Triangulum Galaxy (Messier 33)
- 2 AM eastern sky – Leonid meteor shower, with a radiant in Leo constellation, peaking on the night of November 17 to 18 with about 40 meteors visible per hour
