- 6:30 am, southern sky – Saturn, Mars and Jupiter hovering above the southern horizon before dawn
- 9 pm, southern sky – the spring constellations Gemini and Cancer prominent in the sky; Gemini with the bright stars Castor and Pollux and the bright open cluster Messier 35, and Cancer with the famous Beehive Cluster (Messier 44)
